Hialeah Supports Peruvian Relief Effort

Ingenicard Creates Account For Donations.

In support of the Peruvian community in South Florida, Mayor Julio Robaina and the City Council in conjunction with the Peruvian Consulate will host an earthquake relief event this Sunday at Milander Auditorium. The City of Hialeah's heart goes out to the families of the victims of the recent earthquake which shook the Peruvian Coast killing hundreds. "We are lending them our support and we are united in their pain," says Mayor Robaina.

Representatives from the consulates of Honduras, El Slavador and Bolivia along with the Mayor of Cusco Peru, Marina Sequeiros Montesinos and the Peruvian Consul Generals in Miami will be present at the event.

The public is being asked to bring contributions for the damned such as: clothes appropriate for cold weather such as sweaters and coats, non perishable food, blankets, powdered milk and baby items.

When: Sunday, August 19th at 10:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m.
