Participants of the 2007 Architects in Making Summer Camp Receive Recognition.
Hialeah, Florida – On Tuesday, August 14th Mayor Julio Robaina and the Hialeah City Council presented certificates of appreciation to the participants of the 2007 Architects in Making (AIM) Summer Camp. The summer camp is the first of it’s kind in the City of Hialeah. It’s goal is to let young kids explore the science and art behind architecture through hands on projects. The highlight of the summer program was a sand castle building competition held at Crandon Park. The kids had to use the skills learned through the program to build sand castles.
Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to Samuel Avila, Randy Betancourt, Ryan Betancourt, Ryan Bermudez, Guillermo Bolaños, Juan Ceballos, Christian Cuba, Oscar Gonzalez, Edwin Melendez, Amelia Montiel, Josue Perez, Manuel Pouparina, Angie Quintana, Frank Quintana, Grace Rodriguez, Daniel Santana, Fernando Soca, Yanecy Tarnok, Alvaro Uscategui, William Valdez, Victor Velasquez, Luis Ventura, Fernando Zuniga and Marina Zuniga.
A Certificate of Appreciation was also awarded to Rick D. Ruiz, Chairman of Architects In Making (AIM) Summer Camp, for his leadership and unselfish devotion to the City’s future architects and for his sponsorship of the summer camp.
For his support of the program, Mayor Julio Robaina was also awarded a token of appreciation by the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for his support in the Architects In Making (AIM) 2007 Summer Camp.
